The IP Solutions Architect role develops the architecture for the IP network infrastructure and develop high level solutions as per customer’s requirements. The incumbent in this position will work closely with other architects, engineers, business engagement, and project managers to understand stakeholder requirements, developing high quality, architecturally sound systems that are aligned with business needs, establishing technical standards and drive overall solution architectures, engineering practices, and methodologies. The IP Solutions Architect must create a solution including service level, availability, continuity, suppliers, security and capacity management and with relevant teams to clarify the requirements. He/She will need to consider several resources (budgets, infrastructures, platforms, applications, information, and people) and capabilities (management, partners, products, organization, processes, knowledge, and people). The IP Solutions Architect will be required to lead or participate in the creation and evaluation of tenders for IP equipment. In some cases, he/she will develop and present recommendations on tender outcomes to senior management for approval. The IP Solutions Architect may also be required to assist in the technical evaluation of tenders run by other groups to provide input on the IP aspects of the evaluation
