Responsibilities: • Lead a team of network engineers for implementation, optimization and operation of core network systems including installation, configuration and management. • Manage Core Network faults/incidents through network management processes for both network and customer • Preparation and successful implementation of Core Network Technical Specifications, Method of Procedures and Change Requests • Core Network project implementations to ensure adherence to plan, specification and timely completion • Engage with vendors and internal teams to maintain network performance; develop RFP documentation, where required. • Provide technical support for IP Core network, systems/servers and network Monitoring tools. • Create and maintain network documentation, configuration backups, maintain hardware and software standards, and work on projects as and when assigned. • Be able to troubleshoot and fix complex network issues and upon restoration, follow up on root causes. • Provide guidance and assistance to team members, directing work flow as well as address more complex technical issues. • Lead inventory management of software licenses, software, hardware, and other network/system supplies. • Perform growth planning and performance analysis of production systems, implement complex hardware and software upgrades to meet capacity requirements. • Guarantee network security best practices are executed through auditing: router, change control, switch, firewall configurations, and monitoring • Maintaining & implementation of the SOP for Network security. • Identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities and threats. • Liaising with vendors to implement security solutions.
