We are looking for a Backend Developer/ Data Engineer who is a skilled computer programmer and comfortable with backend programming and cloud technologies. As a developer, you will be responsible for developing and designing cloud-based event-driven streaming data processing architecture. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining backend architecture and deployments, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail. Primary Responsibilities: Design server-side architecture using AWS Self-managing project planning, milestones, designs, and estimations Design and development of micro-services architecture Services and frameworks for cloud-based event-driven deployment (Kafka, DataFlow/AirFlow, SQL, and time-series databases) Services and frameworks for CI/CD and automation Create and implement security and data protection policy Responsible for collection and ingestion of big IoT data streams Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency Basic Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s and a higher degree in Computer Science, or relevant domain Familiarity with database technology: SQL, time series (e.g. Cassandra, TimeScale), key-value DB (e.g. RocksDB, Redis) Knowledge of event streaming architecture and tools: Docker, micro-services, data ingestion, data streams. Experience: Min 3-5 years of professional experience in streaming data services development Skills: Project management and organizational skills, along with an extensive technical and engineering knowledge Additional Requirements: Experience with microservice architecture (e.g., Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes) Experienced with Python Experienced with event streaming architectures, services, and tools (e.g., Kafka) Experienced with SQL and time-series databases (e.g., MySQL, Cassandra) Knowledge of CI/CD and automation tools Agile software development methodologies (Optional) Automated cloud deployment tools (Infrastructure as a Code - Pulumi, etc.) (Optional) Automated QA
